Tailor-made user research for product innovation
Mutley project - design research that investigates motorbike helmets stakeholders attitude and behaviour towards preferences, usage, and brand perception.
. Co-create with the user the ‘ideal’ helmet capturing the attributes users value the most.
. Analyse the gathered information and apply
holistic thinking over the process.
. Develop a series of Design Principles to guide product development.

Fieldwork & tailor-made research tools

The ideation generated 84 helmet design insights regarding the findings from the field research. They covered five key attributes areas: Lifestyle, Experience, Safety, Resistance, and Comfort.
Value Matrix
Each insight was positioned in a Value Matrix according to difficulty in tech development and users desirability. After the complete distribution, clusters were identified.
